Getting Beltr on your TV

For scoring, the mic plugs into the computer running Beltr’s display. With an HDMI cable that happens by itself, which is why it’s the best setup. Prefer wireless? The free Beltr Remote app turns your phone into the mic on any setup.

HDMI cable (best): Plug the computer running Beltr into the TV, drag the window onto the TV and go fullscreen. No lag, the best audio, and the mic is on the same computer, so scoring works right away.
Smart TV browser: Open Beltr’s TV address in the television’s own browser over Wi-Fi, with no cable. TV browsers have no mic input, so use your phone as the mic with Beltr Remote to keep pitch scoring, or sing lyrics-only without scores.
AirPlay: Mirror a Mac to an Apple TV or an AirPlay 2 TV. It’s fully wireless, but expect a little lag and some audio drift. The mic stays on the Mac, so scoring still works.
Chromecast: Cast the Beltr browser tab from the host computer to a Chromecast or Google TV. Wireless, with the same lag and drift caveat; the mic stays on the casting computer.
TV apps: Install Beltr Client on the TV itself and join the room with a tap: Apple TV, and Android TV and Google TV. Your phone, with Beltr Remote for iPhone or for Android, or the host computer still carries the mic for scoring.
