Scoring tip: the mic plugs into the computer running Beltr's display. With HDMI that's automatic, which is why it's the best setup. Prefer wireless? The free Beltr Remote app, on the App Store and Google Play, turns your phone into the mic on any setup.
Plug the computer running Beltr into your TV's HDMI port, drag the window onto the TV, and go fullscreen. Zero latency, best audio, and the mic is on the same computer, so scoring just works. Always the most reliable option.
Open Beltr's TV address in your television's built-in browser over Wi‑Fi, no cable. TV browsers have no mic input, so use your phone as the mic with the Beltr Remote app to keep pitch scoring — or go lyrics-only, no scores.
Mirror a Mac to an Apple TV or AirPlay 2 TV. Fully wireless, but expect a little lag and possible audio drift. The mic stays on the Mac, so scoring still works.
Cast the Beltr browser tab from the host computer to a Chromecast or Google TV. Wireless and convenient, with the same lag and drift caveat. The mic stays on the casting computer, so scoring still works.
The Apple TV app is live on the App Store, and the Android TV & Google TV app is live on Google Play — install Beltr right on the television and join the room with a tap, no browser tab or casting needed. Your phone (Beltr Remote) or the host computer still carries the mic for scoring.
